Karen helps ambitious leaders navigate the complexity of modern leadership without sacrificing what matters most. Since founding Parachute Executive Coaching in 1996, she has worked with executives from Fortune 500 companies, TED Fellows, and emerging leaders who are redefining success on their own terms. Her approach integrates high performance with sustainable well-being—because the best leaders don't burn out, they thrive. Karen was one of the first globally to earn the Master Certified Coach (MCC) designation, and was honoured to receive the International Coaching Federation's inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020. Her work has been featured in major media including CTV News, CBC Radio, The Globe & Mail, and the Toronto Star, and she has authored two books: The Complete Executive and The Accidental Alpha Woman. Before coaching, Karen built a successful career in consumer packaged goods marketing and advertising. She holds an MBA from Ivey Business School and has trained in mindfulness, the neuroscience of coaching, positive psychology and integrative health coaching. She is also a past Board member and founder of the Toronto Chapter of the International Coaching Federation. Whether clients are managing a major transition, building their leadership capacity, or simply trying to do meaningful work without burning out, Karen brings nearly three decades of experience helping leaders achieve what truly matters.
